Since April 2011, the so-called Dodd-Frank Act obliges US companies listed on the stock exchange to refrain from using raw materials from conflict regions. Pfannenberg follows these requirements and demands transparency from all suppliers.
The Dodd-Frank Act regulates the import and use of raw materials from conflict regions. The following metals are affected by this regulation:
Tantalum
Tungsten
Tin
Gold
The law requires listed companies in the USA to inform the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) annually whether products originate from relevant regions or were manufactured using conflict raw materials.
As an owner-managed company, Pfannenberg is not directly affected by this regulation. Regardless of this, we ensure in our supply chain that there are no deviations from the regulation. You can assume that Pfannenberg products do not contain any of the mentioned minerals from affected areas.
