Hamburg, 10. July 2014. Pfannenberg’s flashing lights from the PYRA-Series are already being used in many environments where alerting should occur according to DIN EN 54-23. For example, in industrial halls with high ambient noise or where hearing protection is worn, in institutions for the hard of hearing or in buildings with easy access for disabled people. This is because, as a rule, both audible and visible alerting is required here.
We are now adding a version to our flashing lights in pyramid-shaped design which can be used where the ceiling is up to 13.5m high. Herewith, Pfannenberg is the only signaling technology manufacturer which supplies flashing lights for this signaling sector.
Both the xenon-technology used and the advantages you already know of, for assembly and installation, ensure that this latest model also means cost and time savings. The visual and the combined (visual-audible) signaling devices from the PYRA series will be presented at this year’s Security Fair in Essen, Germany from 23rd to the 26th of September in Hall 1.0 at booth 422.
Flashing lights from the PYRA Series: safer – more economical – more practical
The PYRA flashing lights belong to a new generation of signaling devices which are convincing because of many advantageous product features. The PYRA M devices have a ratio between the signaling range and the power consumption which is more than twice as good as that of LED-based lights. Due to the high effectiveness because of the high light intensity of the xenon bulbs and the shape of the lens, the number of signaling devices required is automatically reduced. Therefore, there are cost savings. As a result of the automatic contacting of top and bottom parts, and the quick fastener already well-known from the Pfannenberg PATROL-series, the assembly and installation times are reduced. In addition, incorrect assembly is virtually impossible due to the protection against turning and the pre-wiring. Therefore, both the operational safety and the safety of staff during the installation process are significantly increased.
PYRA and PATROL: alerting that conforms to standards
The new PYRA-M also conforms to the requirements of EN 54-23. The audible signaling devices PATROL (PA 1 and PA 5), the visual signaling devices PYRA (PY X-S) and the combined signaling devices PATROL (PAX 1-05) are – in addition to the existing European Approval according to EN 54-3 and EN 54-23 and the VdS – also now approved in Poland and can be used for the purpose of fire alarming there. The signaling devices from the PYRA-series are available in different signaling strengths. Flashing lights which are also offered as combined devices with an integrated sounder with up to 100 decibels, come pre-wired from manufacturing. The connection clamps with 2.5mm2 for wire cables with end sleeves provide a large clamping area for all cable types in different applications. Furthermore, the IP 66- and IK08-protected housings make PYRA especially robust and suitable for universal applications. The 10 year manufacturer’s warranty is valid for all devices from the PYRA-Series.
