Our production areas shall be as efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. This claim is part of the Pfannenberg Operations Vision. Most production buildings and warehouses are existing properties of which we make the best possible use. The long-term goal is net-zero – so we use as much as possible renewable energies, implement for example solar panels and produce our own energy. Other measures include thermal insulation which already show high energy efficiency in our Italian offices and warehouse.
Yet, by using innovative technologies, we not only optimize energy consumption but also strive to save valuable resources. Our Green Factory approach thus includes also measures for less waste and more circular economy as well as closed loops for example through reuse of warm water. This goes in line with driving forward the automation of our production facilities to optimize our processes and production lines and increase their efficiency. Our Green Factory approach is sustainable, smart and efficient at the same time. It unites several departments from production to logistics and product development under the umbrella of excellence.
