Waste and Packaging

The main activity that causes waste is packaging waste that we receive from the upstream value chain. There, we almost fully switched to paper and cardboard and some packaging wood and are on the way to fully eliminating Styrofoam. Waste is also produced by work carried out in production and in the offices. Our Waste Management Officer manages this area, and it is covered by our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system in the European sites.

We provide customers the platform to return products at the end of their life cycle. For this, we compiled a document in different languages with measures and regulations to be observed when recycling and disposing Pfannenberg products. In the future, more attention needs to be drawn to the crucial role our customers play in the recovery, reuse and recycling at the end of the useful life of our products.
