The quality of a filter medium is defined in classes and is determined by the size of the particles that can penetrate the filter. The highest class that can be achieved by coarse dust filters in accordance with DIN EN 779 is filter class G4, in which more than 90 % of all particles larger than 10 μm are blocked.
