For selected product series of Pfannenberg signaling technology
Pfannenberg (Pfannenberg Group Holding and its subsidiaries – hereinafter referred to as Pfannenberg) offers its customers an extension of the warranty to a total of 10 years. The warranty period begins on the date of invoice and applies worldwide.
If a warrantied defect is reported to Pfannenberg within the warranty period, Pfannenberg shall deliver a new or reconditioned replacement device free of charge.
The General Conditions on the basis of the "General Conditions for the Supply of Products and Services" of ZVEI in the latest respective version apply, insofar as nothing different is specified below.
The extended warranty applies starting with the date of invoice 01/10/2013 for the following product series:
PYRA® (flashing and LED lights)
The warranty is limited to 10 million flashes for xenon beacons. The extended warranty is voided if changes to the product or repairs have been performed by the customer. Pfannenberg does not cover costs for disassembly or assembly of devices. The 10 year warranty only applies for devices which have been used within the usage parameters and environmental conditions defined by Pfannenberg – in other words only when used as intended. The warranty applies for verifiable material and manufacturing defects. Excluded from the warranty are wear parts such as illuminants, as well as consequential costs of all types.
Pfannenberg voluntarily offers the 10 year warranty and can discontinue the offer at any time without specifying reasons.
The Easy Replacement Process

The easy replacement process is Pfannenberg’s extremely customer-friendly procedure in the event of a warranty claim. The core element is that you (as a customer) receive a replacement device informally, as quickly as possible and without any complications in the event of a warranty claim.
The Easy Replacement Process is valid immediately and all over the world. The process is extremely simple:
- In the event of a warranty claim, just contact your nearest Pfannenberg sales organisation (agent or Pfannenberg subsidiary) and report the fault.
- Pfannenberg or your agent will then check the facts by telephone and send you a new replacement device or one that is as good as new, immediately with an information pack on the follow-up procedure. This includes your RMA number.
- Only now it is necessary for you to return the defect device to a Pfannenberg sales organisation for it to be checked. Please use the packaging of the replacement device.
The Easy Replacement Process applies to all standard signaling devices with a statutory warranty or an extended 10-Year-Warranty. Explosion proof devices for zones 0/20 and 1/21 in need of more explanation and the aviation security obstruction lights are, as a rule, components which are integrated in systems. In this case, the type of application plays an important role. Due to the fact that a comprehensive check of these devices needs to be carried out prior to the delivery of a replacement device, the usual returns procedure applies.
